Wars in the Stars

The movie which I have been patiently waiting for has finally come and it premiered last Thursday, 190505. What a day to choose among all other days. I've always appreciated the Star Wars plot and special effects. Watched it since I was a little kid and have been following the storyline all the way. I can't consider myself a fan of it, but more of an appreciator of the movie.

The story started off with episode IV, showing young Luke Skywalker slowly learning about the 'force' and his sister, Leia being part of the noble Organa family. The problem with these two was that they didn't know they were siblings until later on in episode VI if I'm not wrong. They were rebelling against the Sith controlled Republic which ruled the whole galaxy. There were fights here and there and it seemed that the rebels were losing the war, but clones and droids are afterall only clones and droids, they lost to the rebels in the end and Anakin Skywalker fulfilled the prophecy by killing the Sith Lord and bringing balance to the force.

In a way, I felt that Anakin Skywalker was delibrately made to follow the Jedi ways then the Sith ways so that he could gain the most power and then destroy both sides. Right in the very beginning in episode I, he already had symptoms of turning bad, but due to some unstoppable influence from somewhere, Qui-Gon Jinn decided to give it a try and train Anakin when he was still a little boy. Kenobi had already sensed that there's something about him which he can't really foresee but he knows it's bad. This was how Anakin was brought to the Jedi Academy. However, let's not forget that Anakin was an ace pilot and he saved the day by winning the pod racing which was a super fast speed and dangerous race, similar to our F1 and that he destroyed the Trade Federation Mother Ship which controlled the droid army.

I haven't forgotten the Sith Lord, Darth Siduous, who's the mastermind behind the evils of all evil plots in the story. This Darth Siduous is nicely placed so that Anakin will fall to the dark side and eventually become good again. He's quite a typical evil-doer, but the only difference is that he has a great ego. He's very smart and knows the way people thinks. I have finally come to realise that the main characters of the movie are not Luke, Leia, Padme or Kenobi, but the very main star is actually Anakin Skywalker, better known as Darth Vader. The man who has gone through bad times and good, didn't treasure friendship but found true family ties when he repented.

The story is finally completed when Obi-Wan Kenobi destroyed the body of Anakin and Darth Siduous rebuilt his body and made him his apprentice. It's a great tragedy story but it shows that the good will always triumph over evil. There must somehow always be good and bad so that Man will always know that the good is good because there's the bad to contrast it. After going through the bad times only then will you treasure the good times. If you haven't tasted loneliness, how will you appreciate the people around you? It takes a lot for a person to build his or her character and how the person will turn out depends on the will of the person and what that person wants in life.

Power can poison a person and authority can consume the person completely. Seek the right ways and all will be fine...
